All Disability Connect Victoria support workers hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and relevant first aid certifications. Many hold Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or a related field. We also provide extensive in-house training and ongoing professional development to ensure our workers are equipped to support clients safely and effectively, including those with complex and high support needs.

How does Disability Connect Victoria match me with a support worker?

We use a personalised matching process that considers your support needs, goals, personality, interests, communication style and daily routines. Our purpose-built system identifies workers who are best suited to your requirements, and we take the time to introduce you to your matched worker before support begins. If the match is not right, we will work with you to find a better fit — your comfort and confidence always come first.

Can I request a specific support worker?

Yes. We encourage clients to let us know if they have preferences or if a previous match has worked particularly well. Wherever possible, we will accommodate requests to continue working with a specific support worker, as consistency is an important part of effective, trusting support relationships. We also understand that needs change over time and are happy to discuss adjustments at any stage.

Are your support workers available after hours and on weekends?

Yes. Disability Connect Victoria provides support across a broad range of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. For clients with high support needs, overnight and 24-hour support options are also available. We work to build a support schedule that fits your daily life and routine, not the other way around.

Can Disability Connect Victoria provide support workers for TAC-funded clients?

Yes. We are a registered TAC provider and can deliver attendant care and support worker services to clients who are funded through the Transport Accident Commission following a transport accident. Our team has experience navigating TAC funding requirements and can work with your TAC case manager to put the right supports in place.
